Faces of Cycling is a collaboration between New Haven Bike Month and goNewHavengo.
It is a portrait series that celebrates the diversity of bike riders in New Haven. These portraits focus on people who identify as female because fewer women than men bike in the U.S. and equal gender distribution is a sign of a healthy bicycling ecosystem. We want all women in New Haven to know that bicycling is for them, regardless of their gender, race, age, size, religion, income, or cycling abilities.
Special thanks to: The Greater New Haven Green Fund for providing the funding to New Haven Bike Month and goNewHavengo that made this project a reality; Our ten fearless models; and, Amber Collett, who took these beautiful pictures.
